High Energy & High Petrol Prices, how to save on Energy cost at home?

If you are thinking of buying an EV (electric vehicle), probably now is the time. You could save on not just running cost, which must be lower for an EV, but on petrol, as it is 5x cheaper/year by using an Electric Home charger compared to going to the petrol station and filling up your car with the ever so expensive petrol. 

All you need is off street parking and a registered (Napit or NICEIC) and qualified electrician, who will be able to safely install your new EV charger for you. It is a relatively quick and cheap alternative and more comfortable, cost effective and controllable way to charge your EV from home overnight, a few times a week or month, depending on your car usuge.

Here are some tips:

• Check the Logo on your new fridge-freezer before you buy. On average you can save £37/year! Don’t forget to check your new washing machine, tumble dryer rating too!

• Don’t leave your electrical products on standby. Unplug them and make sure they all switched off. You can save a few £ by making this a daily habit.

• Energy saving bulbs use about 80% less energy and just one energy saving bulb can save you up to £60 over the lifetime of the bulb! Wow!

• Only put the amount of water you need for your cuppa in the kettle, don’t waste energy and money by filling it to the top each time. Do you drink a lot?

• Only use the dishwasher when you have a full load.

• Do not overload your tumble dryer, they use more energy than washing machines in general.
