What should you know before you buy an electric car?
Electric cars are much cheaper to run based on fuel costs alone. And when you factor in maintenance costs, electric starts looking like an even more attractive option – brake systems tend to last longer than on conventional vehicles, and electric vehicles (EVs) have fewer fluids to change, and far fewer moving parts.
There’s no doubt electric cars are getting better. With each new model that arrives on the market, the bar is being pushed a little bit higher, whether it’s via improved battery range, better on-board equipment, or even just a lower price. The price gap is gradually narrowing, and the growing availability of quality used electric cars makes them even more affordable if you’re prepared to opt for a used car.
Cost of running an electric car vs a petrol car:
Electric cars are free to tax
Exempt from the surcharges & huge service cost
